USA Taekwondo (USATKD) has confirmed that the Daedo Gen 3 PSS system will be used at all events sanctioned by the organization during 2026, including the 2026 U.S. Open Taekwondo Championship, which will take place from March 5 to 8 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This announcement is key for participating athletes, coaches, and clubs, as it details the specific options for electronic gloves (E-Gloves) and electronic socks (E-Socks) for the home version of Daedo Gen 3.

The Daedo Gen 3 E-Gloves (Domestic Version) have been officially approved by World Taekwondo for use in all USATKD-sanctioned events in 2026, including the U.S. Open, State Championships, American Open East and West, and U.S. National Taekwondo Championships.
Athletes have two main options for obtaining them within the framework of the 2026 U.S. Open:
- Free rental (Option 1): TrueScore will offer complimentary glove rentals in the holding area. There is no rental fee, but photo ID (for adults) or parent/guardian ID (for minors) is required. ID is surrendered when borrowing the glove and returned at the end of each bout.
- Purchase (Option 2): Participants can purchase gloves directly at the TrueScore booth during the championship for $65. They will also be available for purchase online at www.truescore.com, with restocking scheduled for February 23, 2026.
There is also an international version (World Taekwondo Daedo Gen 3 E-Gloves), intended exclusively for World Taekwondo international competitions, which is expected to be approved and available later in 2026.

Daedo Gen 3 E-Socks will also be part of the mandatory equipment. These will be available for purchase at the TrueScore booth during the 2026 U.S. Open Championship for $110, and can also be purchased online at www.truescore.com.
This third-generation system improves impact detection accuracy thanks to more advanced sensors, benefiting both competitors and judges at high-level events.
