Rommel Pacheco, executive director of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (CONADE), unveiled the new logo for the National Olympics on Friday, under the slogan“Evolution is here.”
The announcement was made at the National High-Performance Center (CNAR), where Pacheco emphasized that this redesign represents the evolution of Mexico’s most important youth multisport event, which this year marks its 30th anniversary since its inception in 1996 as the Youth Olympics.
“Thirty years of history have brought us to this point,” said the head of CONADE during the presentation, which was also attended by athletes from the CNAR.
With this new logo, CONADE aims to foster the Olympic spirit among the next generation of Mexican athletes and establish the National Olympics as the primary talent pool for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
The 2026 CONADE National Games will be held in several states across the country, including Jalisco, Colima, Yucatán, Puebla, and Tlaxcala, featuring a total of 51 sports in children’s and youth categories.
The name change from “Nacionales Conade” to the National Olympics had already been announced, but today the new graphic design that will be used in all communications and as the event’s visual identity was officially unveiled.
Pacheco has emphasized on several occasions that the National Olympics are not just about competition, but also about instilling values and identifying talent from an early age: “What you do today will determine what your 2026 will be like,” he told the young athletes.
With this rebranding, CONADE aims to ensure that Mexican athletes grow up from a young age with the mindset and symbols of the Olympic movement, establishing the National Olympics as the country’s premier celebration of youth sports.
