Seeking to boost the international visibility of European taekwondo, the agreement, signed on March 10, 2026, at the headquarters of the European Taekwondo Union (ETU) in Athens, Greece, grants ST76 Limited the rights for the production, transmission, and international distribution of the television signal for competitions organized by the ETU. The agreement has an initial term of two years (starting in February 2026), with an option to extend for an additional four years by mutual agreement.

Among the events covered are the European Senior, Under-21, Junior, Cadet, Para Taekwondo, Club, Beach, and Multi Games Championships, as well as competitions in the children's and youth categories. The international signal will be offered free of charge to television networks through the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) network and the Eurovision Sports digital platform, facilitating its reach to audiences in Europe and the rest of the world.

The first major event under this agreement will be the European Senior Taekwondo Championships (including para-taekwondo), scheduled for May 11-14, 2026, in Munich, Germany.

Sakis Pragalos, president of the ETU, welcomed the signing, stating:

“This agreement marks the beginning of a new era for European taekwondo. It is a significant investment in the future of the sport, creating a solid foundation for the unified television presence of our competitions and strengthening the international visibility of our athletes.”

Effie Zikouli, CEO of ST76 Limited —a strategic communications company based in Cyprus—highlighted:

“Together with the European Taekwondo Union, we are creating a true path to the Olympic Games. By broadcasting competitions from the youngest categories to the senior level, we can now follow and showcase the entire sporting journey of athletes on their way to the Olympic stage.”

ST76 Limited will collaborate with ABC Productions to carry out international television production.

This agreement represents a strategic step toward professionalizing the promotion of taekwondo on the continent and contributing to the global development of the sport, aligning with the Olympic path of European athletes.
